Jakob Seidlitz, Ph.D Post-Doctoral Fellow

Jakob Seidlitz is a post-doctoral fellow working with Dr. Aaron Alexander-Bloch under a T32 fellowship, combining neuroimaging, genomics, and transcriptomics to better understand the biological underpinnings of neurobiological phenotypes derived from non invasive neuroimaging methods such as MRI.

Prior to joining the LiBI, he received his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge as a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Oxford-Cambridge Scholars Program. He spent the first half of his studies at Cambridge, working with Dr. Edward Bullmore on new methods to quantify and validate interindividual variation in brain structure. He then moved to the NIH where he worked with Dr. Armin Raznahan to apply these methods to clinical samples of rare neurogenetic syndromes.

Prior to his Ph.D., Jakob was a post-baccalaureate research fellow at the NIH performing cross-species research in social cognition using multimodal neuroimaging-electrophysiological techniques.
